Unveiling the world’s premiere of Mylo

Three months after having launched The Mills Fabrica, I worked directly with Bolt Threads, the leading mushroom leather innovator, to unveil the world’s first premiere of the Mylo Consortium, who make their patented mushroom leather for Adidas, Stella McCartney and Lululemon. Made from mycelium, Mylo is a soft, supple and sustainable alternative to leather.

Constructing a moss forest floor with mushroom top tables in Fabrica X, our concept store, we hosted an exclusive cocktail reception for over 60 members of the press, influencers, designers and brands. As part of the partnership, Dan Widmaier, co-founder and chief executive of Bolt Threads, held a keynote and panel at Innovating Better, an original in-house event exploring tomorrow’s alternative materials for the fashion industry.
