A platform for sustainable innovations

I joined The Mills Fabrica, a division of the Hong Kong based Nan Fung Group, to spearhead the opening of their first international outpost in London’s Kings Cross.

For over a year I worked on two separate milestones, the first was managing the launch of a building itself, the contractors, architects, et al, as the 150 year old Victorian warehouse underwent a major refurbishment. The second entailed a startup accelerator for sustainable innovations, a co-working space, a retail store, a coffee shop along with an array of content programming launched concurrently.

By the time I left, we incubated 5 leading startups from the food and fashion industries, filled tenants to 100% capacity, developed a brand new concept to the marketplace for a new concept store, Fabrica X, and hosted three major events including notable speakers such as Dan Widmaier, co-founder of Bolt Threads; Edzard van der Wyck, co-founder of Sheep Inc; Dana Thomas, author of Deluxe and Fashionopolis; among other chief executives from cutting edge startups.
